i somewhat spontaneously bought a bunch of little brass and tin parts from blick and then i figured that a g7 ink well would probably fit in them.'

so i made an arrangement and started supergluing things together and it worked!

not pictured, but later on for accent i put some leftover veneer on part of the barrel and the end cap.

funny thing is i lost this recently so maybe it shall come back into my life at some later serendipitous date.
